ARTIST STATEMENT
The persistence of place, the fluidity of time, and the fragility of human existence are the three essential elements of my work. In my paintings, the individual is projected within dimensional structures made of liquid landscapes and architectural elements in a precarious balance between the real and the imaginary. Most of my paintings have a narrative flavor; they always tell a story. Irony is a key element in my work; sometimes it casts a veil of absurdity over a situation, giving it a different perspective. In my paintings, every single element aims to express a sense of temporariness.
I persistently use a limited palette, mainly composed of my three favorite colors: black, white and blue.
